Nursery Ministry
The GUM Nursery Ministry is so much more than just Sunday morning babysitting. We help parents lay the foundation of their young child’s faith. We focus on building relationships with children and parents. We provide support to families in whatever way they may need it. Here are just a few of the ways we do this:

Sunday Morning Nursery
We offer a safe and loving nursery playroom for children 0-36 months during both worship services where children enjoy both structured activities and free-play.
Sunday School for 2-year-olds
We offer two monthly classes for our 2-year-olds. Our 2x2 class meets on the first Sunday of each month and focuses on a variety of themes such as “God Made Me” and “Jesus Loves Me”. Our Wee Little Praisers class meets on the third Sunday of each month and focuses on movement and music. Classes are offered during both Sunday morning worship services.
Event Childcare
GUM is pleased to offer free childcare for all church events, meetings, and worship services to children from birth through sixth grade.
Community Playgroup
Everyone’s invited to come over and play on the first Friday of each month! Our playgroup meets from 9:30am to 11am in the GUM Nursery. Kids burn off some energy in a safe, contained area while parents get to have some “grown-up” conversation with other parents!
Mom’s Bible Study
Join us on the second Friday of each month from 9:30am to 11am in the GUM Nursery for a bible study geared toward moms. Free childcare is available.
Childcare Co-Op
Any at-home parent could use a couple kid-free weekday hours to run errands, attend an appointment, or just enjoy a HOT cup of coffee in peaceful silence! Our childcare co-op offers just that – parents drop their kids off at our GUM nursery one weekday morning a month. Participating parents take turns serving as the childcare providers and there is no cost to participate!
